The restored and renovated Old Dairy serves as the community
center for Homestead Preserve, located in Bath County, Virginia.

Stream Valley Estates
Richmond American Homes is featuring its Monticello model at Stream Valley Estates, located just off Sydenstricker Road in North Springfield, Virginia, close to the Fairfax County Parkway, I-495 and I-95. This convenient location offers easy access to schools, shopping and employment corridors. Stream Valley’s dramatic estate homes come complete with standard features that include brick fronts, family room fireplaces, hardwood floors and gourmet kitchens with granite countertops.

The Monticello is designed for both practicality and luxury. A two-story foyer boasts a staircase that can be accessed from the kitchen or foyer. Living and dining rooms freely flow into one another, creating an ideal environment for entertaining. The home's kitchen includes a large eating area and is adjacent to the family room. The private owner’s suite includes a sitting room and luxurious bath. A three-sided fireplace or wet bar can be added to further enhance the ambiance. For more information, call (888) 891-7349 or visit www.richmondamerican.com.

Homestead Preserve Wins Award
In January 2008, the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities (APVA) presented Homestead Preserve with the 2008 Outstanding Adaptive Use Award for its $6 million restoration and renovation of the Old Dairy Community Center in Warm Springs.

Old Dairy, which is both a Virginia Historic Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, consists of seven agricultural structures dating to the late 1920s, including a three-story main barn, a herdsman's cottage, two milking barns, a calf barn, a milk house and a bull barn. Built in 1928, Old Dairy served The Homestead resort in nearby Hot Springs for more than 50 years, supplying its dairy and beef. Today, Old Dairy serves as a recreational and community center for Homestead Preserve homeowners and as an event space for the Bath County community at large. It features swimming pools, a fitness center, a spa, and a retail market. Old Dairy also houses offices of the Virginia Hot Springs Preservation Trust and Preserve Community. Minutes away from the center, home sites have recently been released at Homestead’s Warm Springs Farm neighborhood. Ranging from 1.6 to 11 acres, they offer spectacular views in every direction. For more information, call (866) 386-5887 or visit www.homesteadpreserve.com.
