ligne roset’s Pumpkin Chair
Ligne Roset partners with timeless French designer Pierre Paulin to reintroduce the Pumpkin chair, originally designed in 1969 for Georges Pompidou. This artful—and playful—seat, which comes as an armchair, loveseat or sofa, is made from Ligne Roset’s iconic all-foam material and breaks away from standard linear seating.
Available in three striking versions, the Marc armchair by Minotti boasts a distinctly individual design. Part of the One World 2008 collection, it is shaped from polyurethane foam in one curving piece. Available at contemporaria, llc, in Cady’s Alley.
The Carolina by Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas for Poltrona Frau is a cozy nest of supple leather. The smooth, uninterrupted form is a welcome accent for almost any décor, combining seat, backrest and armrests in a continual line cocooned in wood.
The new Supersoft bed from Calligaris combines the rounded design and bicolor upholstery of the eponymous sofa and armchair in a generously padded headboard. The upholstery is removable for a variety of color combinations. Available through the Calligaris shop at Pad in Baltimore.
Enjoy a classic-styled workspace with the Architecte Desk from Roche Bobois. Part of the Les Provinciales collection, the desk is a throwback to traditional design with modern-day functionality. The grooved veneer top has two pull-out leaves, and extra space can be added with an attached three-drawer chest.
