Bazaar – Bath Time

A plethora of products gives new promise to bath time

Bazaar – Bath Time SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2011

Poetic Justice
The Haiku tub by British manufacturer Carron emphasizes minimalism and practicality to create a Zen-like bathing experience. Available in standard white or custom hues, it can be paired with the company’s selection of whirlpool systems.

Naturally Unique
Sumi-e Zushi, a recycled natural glass tile from Stone & Pewter Accents, is at home in traditional as well as contemporary settings. It comes in mosaics, subway tiles, penny-sized circles and more; the tiles are hand-poured so each is unique. Available through Davida’s Kitchen & Tiles.;

Under Glass
The Natural Collection from SICIS—The Art Mosaic Factory offers a large range of glass mosaic tiles, perfect for floor, wall and backsplash applications. A complement to any style or design in the bathroom, the collection of 23 iridescent colors includes Sestus, pictured here.

Cutting Edge

The graceful, elongated faucet pictured here is part of the award-winning Luna Bathroom collection from Graff. Its cutting-edge design allows for easy management and mounting; faucets can be crafted in polished chrome or satin nickel and are also available as vessel fillers, Roman tub fillers and thermostatic shower forms.

The Reliable Rectangle
The contemporary Vero series from Duravit offers sleek, rectangular designs in ceramic basins, tubs, toilets (pictured here) and more. Available in standing, wall-mounted, cistern and one-piece toilet styles.

Remote Control
A digitalized spa shower from Kohler features a built-in steam unit, stereo with wireless mp3 connectivity and speakers, ambient multi-colored lighting and high-performance shower fixtures. Pictured here, the spa shower in a design by Tatari Construction. Available at Tatari Design Center;;

Fine Finishes
The Jamie Drake Bath Collection from THG is distinguished by ornate lavatory handles that boast inlays in three different finishes: leather, horn and precious stone. As with all THG faucets, this collection is handcrafted from solid brass and is available in 30 custom finishes.

Vanity Fair
Designed by Simone Micheli, the Lounge Blanco series is a study in chic minimalism. Pictured here, a wall-mounted vanity that comes in black or white and offers large drawers for extra storage. There is plenty of surface area to place a sink at one end and accessories on the other.

Space Saver
Intended for smaller spaces, the Hydro-Slide Glass shower door is designed so that one pane of glass is fixed while the other is operable. Available in custom sizes through Case Design/Remodeling, Inc.

On the Wall
The Ronbow Rebecca wall-mount vanity imparts a clean-lined, modern look to the bath, with a recessed ceramic basin and a frosted glass drawer front. Available in cinnamon and dark cherry (pictured) finishes through Michael Nash Design Build & Homes.
