Gina Fitzsimmons transformed the interiors of a home on the South River in Annapolis from ho-hum traditional to clean-lined transitional. In the dining area, “We framed the view, which looks towards the Riva Bridge, with tailored stationary drapery panels,” the designer says. Wood shades were also installed for protection against the late-afternoon sun. Fitzsimmons kept the room light with a combination of pale driftwood and dark espresso finishes. A nautically influenced nickel-finished chandelier above the table imparts a coastal sensibility.
