With artists and a master carpenter in the family, Jeff Gunther and his son Lance know how to appreciate good design. “I was blessed with creative genes and I dream in three dimensions,” reflects Lance. Father and son are outdoorsmen and share an affinity for what they call nature’s “uncontrived beauty.” Jeff Gunther founded Great Falls Landscapes in 1985 and Lance joined the company in 2012.
Today as principals of the company, they focus on designing and building outdoor spaces that are architecturally compatible with their clients’ homes. “We place an emphasis on scale, proportion and properly identifying and improving positive spaces with functional considerations,” says Jeff. “Our hardscapes with enhancement plantings are investments that inarguably increase a home’s value.”
Both Jeff and Lance Gunther take pride in listening to clients so they can make their vision a reality. On every project, they carefully consider the architectural style, sunlight exposures, and materials that seamlessly complement the house, and spaces that will encourage clients to relax. “When my clients tell me the reason their house sold so quickly is because of my work,” says Jeff, “that invariably is the most rewarding compliment.”
