GreyHunt Interiors’ staff of eight creates livable luxury and cohesive designs. “Our spaces are welcoming, providing beautiful backdrops for our client’s lives and memories,” says Sallie Lord, who founded the firm in 2009. “Whether we’re decorating a single room or doing a full-house remodel, we strive to ensure that our clients see themselves in every design.”

Lord’s father, a master builder in England, first inspired her career path. “His love of quality and beautiful lines created my appreciation and passion for all different styles and tastes,” the designer recounts. “I also worked in our family’s store selling antiques and new items. Seeing happy clients was always a thrill; it encouraged me to get my design degree—and I never looked back.”

GreyHunt Interiors’ process begins with listening, then formulating a design concept that reflects how clients want to feel in their home, curating the perfect pieces to support that vision, and then layering in color, pattern and texture. Floor plans address the way clients live, and visual tools aid their understanding. In the final stage, Lord and her team “organize everything up until the very last accessories are in place,” she says.

Projects by GreyHunt Interiors have been published nationally and internationally. Lord was named a businesswoman leader by House of Coco magazine, Virginia designer in the “50 States Project” by Business of Home magazine and a “Hot New Talent” by Home & Design. She has also been recognized in “Best of Virginia” and Virginia Living’s “Top of the Trade” awards.
