Rob Brennan, AIA | Carri Beer, AIA

Rob Brennan and Carri Beer, principals of brennan+company architects, specialize in new and renovated, beautiful and smart residences. The firm has developed an eclectic portfolio of historic tax-credit rehabilitation projects; interpretively historic houses, additions and renovations; and modern, leading-edge, energy-efficient designs.

Located in an historic, sustainably renovated former residence, the 29-year-old, four-person practice promotes building preservation and reuse to create new environments for healthy living. Brennan and his team engage in a collaborative design process, using the client’s requirements, budget and design spirit to create an imaginative and thoughtful conceptual response. “We monitor a budget by submitting the project to contractors for preliminary pricing prior to preparing drawings for bid,” Brennan explains. “The result is a richly detailed project that considers history, proportion, scale, appropriateness, environmental impact and client cost-benefit.”

Brennan is immediate past president of AIA Baltimore and chair of the Baltimore County Landmarks Preservation Commission. Beer is co-chair of the AIA Committee on the Environment and Resiliency. The firm has won a 2016 Best of Houzz Award for design as well as local AIA design awards; its work has been published locally and nationally.
