Iantha Carley was born to be a designer. She grew up in a family of artists whose influence “made me fearless about mixing unexpected colors, patterns and textures—and this has become a signature of my work,” she observes.

Carley began her career working in design showrooms, gaining substantial knowledge of textiles and casegoods. She established Iantha Carley Interiors in 2006 with the goal of creating sophisticated and uniquely designed living spaces that are pleasing in both form and function. “Our strength is in understanding the client and their needs,” she says. “We strive to create spaces that look as if they were curated over time. We prefer an evolutionary, organic look and outcome versus a purchased-and-placed design.”

Carley and her team work closely with clients to develop a personalized relationship. This improves communication as well as the final outcome. A carefully assembled team of skilled craftspeople and contractors is another key to the success of each project. Carley sources local and American-made products whenever possible in her designs. “At the end of each project,” she says, “a room should feel just right.”
