Kendall Dorman
Kendall Dorman joined the late John Wiebenson’s architecture firm in 1994, and continues to run the practice today. The firm speaks the language of contemporary architecture, not only through clean, modern forms but also through a commitment to the needs of clients and the environment. “We create dynamic, enjoyable, comfortable, responsible architecture, paying careful attention to site conditions, local codes and budget,” Dorman says. “We believe in a balance among aesthetics, efficiency and durability.”
Dorman presents clients with a range of options, encouraging them to play an active part in the process. “Providing design based on practical solutions that are uplifting and gratifying is just as important as having a deep underlying architectural philosophy,” he observes. “Our open, light-filled spaces fit each client’s lifestyle.” The firm’s designs utilize solar techniques and efficient building systems and are sensitive to each building’s relationship to the land.
The work of Wiebenson & Dorman Architects PC has been featured in The Washington Post, Washingtonian, Metropolitan Home, Dream Homes: Greater Washington DC, and on HGTV. The firm was named Best Architect of 2013, 2014 and 2015 in the Washington City Paper.
