Ballard + Mensua
Seth Ballard, AIA, NCARB
Seth Ballard studied architecture at Tulane University, where he was heavily influenced by the unique architecture and culture of New Orleans. He and Spanish architect Vicente Mensua, who is his father-in-law, launched Ballard + Mensua in 2005; today, they collaborate on projects in Spain and the U.S. while maintaining their own individual clients as well.
Ballard + Mensua is a full-service architecture firm with a specialty in custom homes and renovations. All types of projects are welcome, and the firm offers a cost-study process that combines the advantages of design/build with the checks and balances of a separate architect and builder. “We believe in an integrated project-management approach, including interior design and construction,” Ballard explains.
Clients put together idea books on Houzz and Pinterest that serve as guides during the design phase. Listening to and interacting with clients allows Ballard and his team to consistently meet and exceed client expectations.
Ballard was named Best Architect of 2016 by Arlington Magazine. His firm won Best of Houzz 2016 and received Houzz’s Influencer and Recommended Honors. In 2012, Ballard received a Super Service Award from Angie’s List, which rates him as a top architect.
