Upscale Italian fare and palazzo style arrive in the capital

Rosselli, which translates to “little rose” in Italian, is the latest from the Knightsbridge Restaurant Group of Rasika fame. Located in downtown Washington, the space has been transformed by Martin Vahtra of Project Design Associates, who channeled the sumptuous vibe of grand apartments in Milan and Rome for inspiration. Renaissance-style art mingles with modern abstract works to convey an eclectic, layered environment. Jewel tones and maximalist prints enliven the dining room and bar. Helmed by Michelin-starred executive chef Carlos Cardona, the kitchen focuses on classic Italian cuisine, running the gamut from pastas to seafood. 1100 New York Avenue, NW. rossellidc.com
