FEBRUARY 25, 2017—Local designers and guests flocked to the Fourth Annual IFDA-DC Masquerade Ball, held at Capitale DC. The lavish celebration featured music and dancing and a silent auction to support IFDA’s Educational Foundation. Home & Design was an event sponsor.
FEBRUARY 9, 2017—BoConcept celebrated the grand opening of its newly renovated showroom in Georgetown’s Cady’s Alley
with a special evening reception. Home & Design sponsored the event.
MARCH 2, 2017—Home & Design hosted a launch party for its March/April 2017 issue at Carpet Creations in Rockville.
Designers and their guests mingled and browsed the expansive showroom’s array of flooring options.
JANUARY 18, 2017—Home & Design celebrated the release of its January/February 2017 issue with a convivial event at Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen & Bath in Chevy Chase. Guests mingled and perused the showroom, full of the latest kitchen and bath products and appliances.
DECEMBER 14, 2016—The Capital Area Custom Residential Architects Network (CRAN) and Home & Design hosted a festive holiday celebration at Ligne Roset in Washington. Guests toasted the season and browsed the showroom’s latest furniture collections.
NOVEMBER 10, 2016— Home & Design marked the publication of its November/December 2016 issue with a special gathering at KONST SieMatic in Bethesda. Guests mingled among the showroom’s sleek kitchen displays and met many of the designers whose work appeared in the issue.
In this annual feature, H&D spotlights a handful of designers who are blazing exciting new trails in firms of their own. This year’s group gathered in the Washington Design Center, where they were photographed in various showrooms. Pictured in the entrance of J. At a gala event on March 5, 2016, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Metro DC Chapter announced the 2015 Contractor of the Year (COTY) Awards, given to a wide range of remodeling and custom-building projects in DC, Maryland and Virginia. An independent panel of judges reviewed 112 submissions to select the 2015 winners in 33 categories. Home & Design, a media sponsor, gave one of the winners its Award of Excellence for exceptional design.
