Bay Watch

Bay Watch Now part of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, Maryland, the Hooper Strait Lighthouse was built in 1879 to guide ships through the treacherous shoals of Hooper Strait. Today, museum-goers are welcome to tour this traditional “screwpile” lighthouse, climb the hatch and stand watch for incoming vessels. © DAVE HARP/CHESAPEAKEPHOTOS.COM
