Set Sail

This portable vessel won a coveted Red Dot award

When her father declined to lend her his yacht, French designer Marion Excoffon began working on her own sailboat. Two years and five prototypes later, Tiwal 3 was launched. The inflatable vessel stows away in two bags and can be assembled in 20 minutes, allowing users to hit the water without the constraints of transportation and storage. With a patented, rigid hull and easy maneuver-ability, Tiwal 3 is available through the MoMA Design Store; $6,195. tiwal.com; store.moma.org
