A PIECE OF HISTORY  Participants in the 2016 Maryland House & Garden Pilgrimage can visit properties with historic and architectural significance in five Maryland counties surrounding the Chesapeake Bay. The self-guided tours take place from April 30 through May 28 and will explore gems such as Harleigh (left), a 19th-century abode overlooking Trippe Creek; and Cedar Point Farm (below), a 30-acre estate dating back to 1666. mhgp.org
