This project involved the design and construction of an infinity-edge pool, spa and outdoor pool house with wood-burning fireplace, bar and kitchen.
“We linked elements via the home’s architecture while adding character through materials and finishes,” says principal Charles Owen, whose design connects the landscape and house and creates a backyard oasis.
The main structure boasts a slate roof, board-and-batten wood paneling and stone accents. The pool terrace is travertine, and a custom-steel water wheel was fabricated for the koi pond. Deciduous trees, flowering shrubs and perennials provide seasonal interest while blocking pedestrian views.
