High Style: Dining

The Oak Room, an upscale American grill, lands in Georgetown, offering three venues in one

The latest destination dining spot from Ten Five Hospitality brings Gilded Age glamour to Georgetown. Helmed by James Beard Award-winning executive chef and French Laundry alum Tim Hollingsworth, the Oak Room serves up seasonal American cuisine. The menu encompasses steakhouse fare, fine-dining classics such as Dover sole, and raw bar delicacies, including Hamachi and the seafood Grand Plateau. London- and LA-based design firm Fettle handled the interiors, bringing tufted leather banquettes and brass chandeliers to the brick-vaulted, oak-paneled room. Out back, a space dubbed The Garden offers al fresco seating, while upstairs supper club Bernadette’s is awash in red velvet and candlelight, taking its inspiration from Paris’ Hotel Costes. 1218 Wisconsin Avenue, NW. theoakroomdc.com
