Relaxing Retreat </span.Lauren Gagnon was tasked with revamping the master bath in her clients’ Potomac home. Opening up several divider walls, she created enough space for a large, glass-enclosed shower, his and hers vanities and a make-up table. Stained cherry cabinetry stores belongings out of sight, including linens, toiletries and even a pull-out hamper. Sleek tiles from Porcelanosa clad the floors and shower walls while mosaic bands of stone and marble tile flank both mirrors.
The sculptural tub by Victoria & Albert is made of solid volcanic limestone—a material that retains heat for long, leisurely soaks. A new window overlooks the large wooded property, where privacy is not a concern.
